ABOUT ME
Hi, I am Evelyn Pae, a third-year BFA student at Washington University in St. Louis, studying Communication Design and Art History with a minor in Business of the Arts. I am originally from Los Angeles, and my background in fine arts continues to shape the way I approach design today.
My work spans book design, creative direction, and fashion editorial projects, all rooted in my love for the ways different art forms intersect and inform one another. I am drawn to bringing intimate stories to life, and I believe deeply in the power of every detail. Thoughtful intention is at the center of my practice, from the marks I make to the compositions I build, balancing clarity with moments of quiet tension or controlled chaos.
I aim to design from a human point of view, creating work that feels considered, sensitive, and responsive to the person experiencing it. I am known for noticing and celebrating the subtle details, the delicate moments, and the quiet beauty that often sits just beneath the surface.
When I am not working, you can usually find me hunting for the perfect pair of red shoes or anything in navy blue suede.
