Pinocchio Postage Stamp
Stamp Design
This postage stamp design piece explores the deep connection between Pinocchio and Florence, where author Carlo Lorenzini (Carlo Collodi) lived and wrote the story. Inspired by the city’s strong cultural ties to the tale, from local shops to a dedicated museum, I reimagined iconic scenes from Pinocchio using simple geometric forms suited to the small scale of postage stamps. The color palette draws from Florence’s signature yellow and green tones, reinforcing the setting’s influence. Each dot within the compositions represents a key character, subtly weaving the narrative into a clean, modern visual system that connects the beloved story back to its Florentine roots.
