Invisible Cities
Book Design
This project is a series of three book cover designs inspired by Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino. The exercise explores how a narrative can be represented through different modes of communication: first through image alone, then through words alone, and finally through a combination of both.
Central themes include the ways communication shapes and restricts understanding, how memories and experiences are translated through different mediums, and how personal perspective “stitches” lived moments into interpreted narratives. The project reflects on how these narratives shift once shared, transformed by form, context, and the viewer’s own experiences.
